  • BATHING

Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor – your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that stop the itching.  Many people like us to trim their pets nails at this time - just let us know.

  • BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE

Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. We are also trained in animal behavior, and can help determine the cause and select appropriate treatments for disorders such as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior.  For the real complex behavioral disorders, we have relationships with several professionals who specialize in animal behavior.

  • BIRDS, REPTILES, RABBITS AND SMALL MAMMALS

Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatment of exotics.

  • BLOOD TRANSFUSION

Although uncommonly needed, a blood transfusion can often be a life-saving procedure.  We recommend all animals be blood tested  early in their life to determine their blood type.  The test is simple to perform and can be done in our office in a matter of minutes.  Blood transfusions can be arranged for your pet should the need ever arise.

  • BOARDING

Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified kennel attendants do the same when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care (such as brushing and cuddling), and supervised outdoor playtime to keep them happy and active.

  • BRONCHOSCOPY

High-tech fiber optics permits direct visual examination of your pet’s respiratory system. This allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the nasal cavity, trachea and lungs.  We can refer you to local veterinary specialists if this procedure is ever indicated for your pet.

  • CT/MRI DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS

Advanced imaging techniques such as MRI's and CT scans are now routinely performed in pets.  We partner with local veterinary specific imaging centers to provide your pet with highest level of diagnostic care.

  • DENTAL CARE

Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Advanced periodontic and endodontic dental care is available via referral to local veterinary dental specialists.

  • EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE

In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is backed up by our mobile resuscitation unit, stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. If an after hours emergency arises, our phone system directs you to a full service veterinary emergency center.  They, in turn, will notify us of your pets situation.

  • ENDOSCOPY

High-tech fiber optics permits direct visual examination and biopsies of your pet’s gastrointestinal system. This allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral, esophageal, stomach, colon and even upper intestinal tract disease. Foreign objects can also be removed without the need for surgery.  If your pets medical needs dictate an endoscopic procedure, we will refer you to a local veterinary specialist to perform this procedure.

  • FULLY STOCKED PHARMACY

We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field.  Unlike online pharmacies, we, and the manufacturer, stand behind the quality of the medication you purchase. Most veterinary pharmaceutical companies do not distribute their drugs directly to online pharmacies.  Therefore, we cannot guarantee that your pets medicines have not been affected by improper methods of shipping, storage and handling.  When purchased directly from us, you can be sure that they are being dispensed in the manner that the manufacturer intended.  Please ask us if you have any questions or concerns about where you purchase your pets medicines.

  • HOSPICE/EUTHANASIA SERVICES

Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client.

  • IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE

We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: comprehensive physical exams, internal and external parasite testing, heartworm, flea, and tick control, individually tailored vaccination programs, spay and neuter packages, and specialized blood tests for all life stages.  There are many diseases that are contagious from pets to animals (called zoonotic diseases).  We routinely discuss and screen for those illnesses which may affect your family.

  • INTERNAL MEDICINE

We cover all areas of internal medicine, including cardiology (heart), ophthalmology (eyes), neurology (brain and nervous system), dermatology (skin), gastroenterology(digestion organs), endocrinology (hormone disorders), and oncology (cancer).  Many people are surprised to learn that we routinely provide chemotherapy should their pets ever be stricken with cancer.  For more complex internal medicine disorders, we routinely consult with, and sometimes refer to, a local board certified veterinarian specializing in your pets disorder.

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.

  • PAIN MANAGEMENT

Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care.  We routinely use a variety of medications to ease and control any pain your pets might experience.  It is one of the most important services we provide.

  • RADIOLOGY

Radiographs (x-rays) are routinely used to diagnose a wide range of injuries and illnesses your pet may sustain.  Specialized contrast procedures, especially of the gastrointestinal tract and urinary system, are performed whenever necessary to diagnose your pets disorder.  Review of radiographs from other veterinarians are welcome any time a second opinion is desired.

  • SPECIALISTS

Sometimes conditions arise that require veterinarians with specialized training.  We maintain a close working relationship with many board certified veterinary specialists. Referrals to specialists in cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology, dermatology, oncology, dentistry, and surgery can be made whenever your pets health requires the need for specialized training and equipment.  These specialists, in turn, keep us well informed of the progress of your pet.  Referrals to specialists are always made with the goal of providing the very best health care to your pet.

  • SPECIALIZED SURGERY

Our veterinarians are trained to perform a wide variety of both routine and complex surgical procedures.   However, a referral is always advised if we feel the pets needs may be better met with a board certified specialist.

  • SURGERY

On a daily basis, our veterinarians perform both routine and complex surgical procedures.  What sets us apart, however, is the advanced care tailored to the specific needs of your pet that is provided before, during, and after the surgical procedure.  Pre-surgical care may include pre-anesthetic blood testing, cardiopulmonary evaluation, and optimum anesthetic drug selection.  Intra-operative care includes electronic digital monitoring of the heart (EKG, pulse oximetry), blood pressure, and respiration.  Circulating warm water heating blankets control your pets body temperature.  Post-operative care includes careful monitoring of anesthetic recovery, as well as the use of medications to control post-op pain.  Our staff is thoroughly trained and provided with continuing education to assist the veterinarians in all surgical and anesthetic procedures.

  • ULTRASOUND

This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs.  Ultrasounds are routinely performed to give us a detailed look at the "inside" of your pet.
